Herbs and flowers have been my passion since I was a little girl.   Both my grandmother and mother were avid gardeners, and from my early days of making daisy chains on the schoolyard lawn and collecting and sorting seeds and berries for my backyard playhouse which I imagined as an herbal apothecary, I moved on to an adult passion for old roses, culinary and medicinal herb gardens, hydrangeas for the memory of a beloved grandmother, and an unfailing love of slightly unkempt, delicate, old-fashioned flower gardens.
